How To Join
Construction is an ever evolving industry. Our members stay current with Journeyman upgrade classes to they are able to adapt to meet and anticipate these changes. Carpenters and affiliated union trades workers work for contractors that provide a variety of work. Our members are among the most well-trained and highly-skilled in the industry.
The UBC represents one trade with many crafts. Our members touch nearly every aspect of a construction project; they’re frequently first on the job and last to leave. Carpenters work on institutional, residential and commercial projects utilizing their skill and experiences, which are enriched by the comprehensive training programs made available to every union member.
If you are a skilled carpenter with experience working in the trade, you may be eligible to join as a journeyman.
